For the 1000th World Cup match, we collected messages of peace and respect from Japan.

Step 2

Deliver them as 1,000 cranes

Those messages were folded into 1,000 cranes and delivered to representative staff.

We continue collecting hopes for peace from around the world and sharing our wish for a peaceful FIFA World Cup.

OUR STORY

Connecting memories to our greatest stage.

On June 14, 2002, Japan defeated Tunisia 2-0 and reached the FIFA World Cup knockout stage for the first time.

After the 2002 final, around 2.7 million origami cranes folded by children descended into the sky above Yokohama International Stadium.

On June 21, 2026, Japan and Tunisia meet again on the World Cup stage. That match is the 1000th FIFA World Cup match.

We carry that memory forward as a yell of peace and respect, through 1,000 cranes delivered from Japan to the world.
